Jones Orchard is a family farm located
10 miles North of Memphis. There are 2 roadside markets
on the farm – 7170 Hwy 51 N, and 6850 Singleton Parkway. We
have a Pick Your Own location on Big Creek Church Road
available during our peak season. Jones Orchard also has a
booth at the Memphis Farmer's Market, the Agricenter
International Farmer's Market, the Botanic Garden's Farmer's
Market, Collierville Farmer's Market, and the Millington
Farmer's Market.
There are currently 25 varieties of
peaches in production, spanning 110 acres of land. There
are also strawberries, plums, nectarines, blackberries,
blueberries, pears, and apples. All of these items are
available to be picked by the customer. Many customers enjoy
picking their own for the experience, and the ultimate in
quality and freshness.
The Jones Orchard kitchen and
restaurant is located at the market on Hwy 51 N. Juanita Jones
manages this market and kitchen. Our jams, jellies and
relishes are made at this location. The jams and jellies are
made in small batches for better taste, and are made from
fruit grown right on the farm. Pies, breads, and cookies are
also made from scratch at the Jones Orchard kitchen.
Home-cooked
meals are provided M-F for lunch and dinner is served Friday
and Saturday nights.
A corn
maze and pumpkin patch is open in October at the Singleton
Parkway location. The maze is open on nights and weekends. A
separate haunted trail is open on Friday and Saturday nights
in October and on Halloween night.
Jones Orchard was founded by the late
HL "Peach Orchard" Jones in 1940. Peach Orchard Jones began
his peach business by selling the peaches door to door in the
local neighborhoods. He made quite a reputation for
Jones peaches, and we continue to produce peaches with
the same quality and high standards today. We
strive for excellence and distinction.
The current Jones Orchard peach
expert is Lee Jones who has been growing peaches on the farm
since graduation from college almost 5 decades ago. The farm
still produces the original peach varieties such as Elberta,
Redskin, Georgia Belle, and Indian Peaches that are the
customer’s favorites as well as the market's newest varieties.
The peaches can’t be shipped very far, and have to be consumed
shortly after picking. These older varieties have higher sugar
content, and much better flavor than the shipping varieties
found in the supermarkets. The peaches seem to get better each
year.

Henry
Jones handles growing of the strawberries, the farmers markets
and entertainment segments of the farm. He and his wife,
Dayna, have 4 children, Cooper, their 7-year old son, Ty
and Jack, their 6-year old twin sons and 2-year old daughter,
Olivia.
Customer demand for locally grown, great
tasting produce, and the desire to pick produce directly off
of the farm make for a busy, pleasurable, and entertaining
time at the farm.
